Dear colleagues and participants,

From 8th May to 10th May 2019 the XIII International Mineral Processing and Recycling Conference (XIII IMPRC) was held at the premises of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia in Belgrade. It was organized by the Technical Faculty in Bor, University of Belgrade, and co-organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia.

Accompanying publication, the Conference Proceedings, edited by prof. dr Grozdanka Bogdanović and prof. dr Milan Trumić, was published by the University of Belgrade, Technical Faculty in Bor, containing 605 pages (ISBN 978-86-6305-091-4).

The Conference Proceedings include 92 papers by authors and co-authors from 23 countries: Brazil, India, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Mongolia, Japan, France, Germany, Finland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of North Macedonia, Monte Negro and Serbia, as it can be seen from the diagram below:

The great interest for the Conference can be seen in the fact that it gathered a significant number of eminent national and international researchers and company representatives involved in the field of mineral processing, material analysis, mineral characterization, waste and resource management, recycling and other related fields. Two plenary lectures were delivered by eminent lecturers, prof. Dr. Mauricio Leonardo Torem (Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil), and prof. Dr. Željko Kamberović (Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy in Belgrade, University of Belgrade). One session lecture, 29 oral presentations, and 30 papers in two poster sections were also presented at the Conference.

The conference was held with remarkable success, both in terms of organization of the activities, and the quality of the presented and printed papers. High internationalization of the meeting was achieved, and considerable number of participants contributed to the active and useful scientific discussions on the topics covered within each section.
